About Physical Inventory

A Physical Inventory may be performed at any time but it is generally completed quarterly or annually. This process involves printing count sheets of all locations to be counted, sending staff out to count all of the stock in the locations and then inputting the new counts into the system to update the actual quantity on hand.

Facilities may count all areas of the facility or choose to count only selected locations. The system can accommodate both options by enabling you to select only the locations to be counted and print count sheets for only the selected locations.

If, however, the configuration setting Roll all QOH (Quantity on Hand) has been selected, you must include all locations in the physical count to ensure the correct quantity on hand is recorded.

See Physical Inventory Recommended Practices for helpful tips for conducting a successful physical inventory.
