About External System

AmkaiOffice has two different inventory interfacing modules available. The first is called Electronic Purchase Orders (ePO), and the second is called External Inventory System (EIS).

The EIS module is an intricate type of interface which typically relies on web service calls to move data between the system and the vendor. The format used in these types of interfaces is usually proprietary to the vendor and is therefore an interface which can only be used between that specific vendor and AmkaiOffice.

The EIS module relies on the client using the vendors’ online inventory system for ordering purposes while AmkaiOffice is simply updated when changes are made.
