The workflows for current EIS interfaces are as noted below.
IOS / ENVI
IOS/ENVI provides a web service that can be called to retrieve a full listing of your organization's Item Master as maintained in the vendor’s software solution. In addition to listing descriptions, pricing, and ordering details, this data file, which is in cXML format, also supports location and quantity-on-hand information as well.
This EIS interface will periodically download items needing to be synced to ensure AmkaiOffice is up-to-date. New items will be added, existing items will be updated, and adjustments will be made to quantity-on-hand counts of the appropriate items to match the downloaded values. System synchronization will occur at a scheduled interval each day with the added ability to request a manual synchronization at any time.
Please note, however, that quantity amounts are amount totals as received by the vendor’s system. These are not inventory ordering or usage adjustments, but total quantities on hand for each item. This interface is mainly for keeping pricing information between the vendor’s system and AmkaiOffice up to date.
AmkaiOffice receives an initial download of inventory items.
Your organization will use the vendor’s online solution for managing your inventory, including placing orders.
The vendor will send pricing updates to AmkaiOffice accordingly based on configuration settings in the vendor’s system. This can include each item’s total quantity on hand according to the vendor’s system.
