Hot keys

"Hot keys" are keys or combinations of keys on the computer keyboard that, when pressed at the same time, perform a task (such as logging off) more quickly than using a mouse to click through options on your screen.

Alt + f	Search by First name

Alt + d	Search by Date of Birth
Alt + p	Search by Phone number
Alt + c	Search by Chart number
Alt + e	Search by External IDs
Alt + i	Search Insured IDs
Alt + m	Search by Maiden name
Alt + n	Open New demographic screen

Dictionary drop-down selection fields

Hot Key	Functionality
Alt + d in a field	Go to the Dictionary related to the field
Alt + e in a field with data	Open the dictionary item for editing
Alt + e in an empty field	Open to add a new dictionary item
Ctrl + d or e	Functions the same as Alt + d or e in the dictionary fields
Ctrl +, (comma)	Change the sort order of a look up field (right-click options also provide this option)
Alt +, (comma)	Functions the same as Ctr + , (comma)
